Mario Patton

Mario Patton is the Director of Retirement Plans at Vertrix Wealth Management. He works with employers, plan participants, and internal partners to support retirement-plan administration and help ensure plan-related processes, records, and communications are handled with care and precision. His approach is detail-oriented, dependable, and grounded in a commitment to understanding people’s needs and delivering thoughtful support.

Mario specializes in retirement-plan administration, ERISA-focused compliance, participant services, and financial operations. With more than 10 years of experience across wealth management, retirement services, banking, and corporate finance, he brings operational discipline, strong financial knowledge, and a relationship-centered perspective to his work. His background includes supporting complex retirement-plan transactions, maintaining accurate participant data, assisting with audits, and helping clients navigate financial processes with confidence.

Mario attended Ferris State University, where he studied Health Care Administration. He holds active Series 6 and Series 63 licenses and is an active Michigan Notary Public.

Outside of the office, Mario lives in Ferndale, Michigan, and is the proud father of twin boys. He enjoys spending time with family, walking his dog, following football, traveling, and exploring new dining experiences—especially near a great beach or in Las Vegas. He also enjoys reading, learning about history, and watching documentaries. Through Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Mario participates in community programs and speaks with students at local schools.
